Korean 'Heat' (Hit) ~ Food

I am so into Korean thingy now ( hubby pun sama sama crazy) that i wanted to try their authentic food. So, here we go...(went with hubby la, ofcos)

He said want to treat me for dinner soon after his pay ma, so we gave our precious 1st time to this restaurant => DAOREA. They actually is more on barbeque dishes (at least this is one of the difference between Jap to Korean food, i noticed) but we try something light.

My order : Dwen-jang jjigae (plain rice with soup -soup consists of half crab, boiled soft cucumbers, potatoes, bean curds and taste slightly spicy)

The restaurant

Side dishes (clockwise) : preserved anchovies, preserved cucumber, not sure what is this-taste like pancake, salad fruits, fish kim chi, kim chi, preserved asparagus, vege, preserved seaweed and vinegar bean sprout- mostly too hot for me :P

Hubby order (before)- Dolsot Bibimbab (rice with egg, carrot, crabstick, seaweed in a steaming hot stonebowl)

Mixing the rice and sauce for us.

Hubby order : (after) Actually it taste good eventhough looks yuckie!!

Another order : Dderk-bokgi (consists of sliced fish cake, carrot, egg-very obvious, onion, and rice cake. The boss told me (if not misintepreted his english la) this dish is very popular among korean youngster. Might be me and hubby still lagging behind this era.. haha.. both us doesnt like the taste, too hot for me and the rice cake taste like chinese beh ger.

Actually i like the environment here, staffs are friendly and helpful, service is excellent thou them seems doesnt understand me whenever i raise question, (what is this ar? this leh and this leh?? ~ haha). So, end up we just grinned or smiles at each other.

One thing i wish to highlight here. I noticed eventhough staffs are not Korean ( i intepreted the boss english again, he said they all from Nepal, why? i dun knw wor), they seems have been trained to be very discipline. They all line up on left and right of the entrance getting ready to greet walk in guest, and whenever the boss order them to do something, they will bow and answered "Haik". Then after meal, they will line up again to send you out. U see!! This is what we call good service!! I think i will visit this restaurant again eventhough I not into Korean food (me and hubby also agreed we prefer jap food), i want to try their barbeque dishes.

Ok la, till next time, i share my view here again la!! Wait la then, haha!
